Change is one of those things that you initially resist but eventually learn to love it in hindsight. When I moved to New Zealand, I resisted with every fiber in body and it wasn't for a while until I felt at home in my own skin. But with every one I met, everyone I called my friend and my crew (my boys and the aba), I took a little bit of their personality with me. When you're with your friends, it is not as apparent, unless you completely mirror their actions, the nuiances you pick up from them will come off as merely being close. But once I moved back to Cali, I would do something and think to myself, wow, that's what __(insert name here)___ used to do. If I ever want proof that my life in New Zealand and the friends that I made there mean the world to me all I need to do is look up...

Hey guys,

Ok, here are the results from Round the Bays, 2007:

Anna N 102:04
Judy 100:12
Terence 40:19
Paul 42:20
Sue 57:23
Anna M 69:20
Jenny M 73:15
Rachel MJ 67:12
Susan 102:06
Renee 100:09

I have a feeling I’ve missed out someone. If I have, do let me know and I’ll update the list.

Judy the devious bastard ran off without me in the last two minutes - that's the only reason she got a better time!! hahaha.

This year, being my first year to participate in Round the Bays, I would say I’m pretty happy with my achievement of just completing the race regardless of how long it took. Next year, my goal will be to beat my current time. Wish me luck :D.

Allee, I wished you were there to share my first experience… and also I think your presence would have brought more excitement and competition for those who ran the race.

Anyways, just want to say “good job everyone” and thank you to Judy and her company for the feast after the race – you accountants really do know how to put on a fantastic BBQ :D.

Hey everyone, how's RTB training going?
Hope you're all ready for the big race this weekend... Su, Anna and Judy you girls make me so proud! Hehe show those guys what you're made of.
What's up with the tight tees idea? Hmmm must've been Simon's idea - designed to make sure that you can't run too fast =P

Here are some photos that I've taken with my bad quality mobile phone camera. It's so limited, there's only space to store 10 pics at one time.

Australian Open 3rd round - Mario Ancic vs. Dominik Hrbaty
(Mario won... and he's so cute too!)

Moomba Festival - I loved the fireworks, they went on for like 12 mins!

Firecrackers at Chinatown on Chinese New yr eve

Night view from the balcony of my apartment

So it's official - I'm back at uni again!
It has happened all so suddenly... and I'm really glad I'm going forward with this decision especially knowing that everybody is being so supportive of me doing this :)

Ask me how I feel about it after a month and maybe I'll give you a different answer... but for now keeping busy with work, play, study, and sports is awesome!

Off to Brisbane for the long weekend, can't wait to finally spend some time with family again :) Until next time...

Hey guys,

They say that the first step is always the hardest. Well, guess what? They’re completed right! I have been sitting here for a while now wondering what to write. And yes, I am a virgin “blogger.” Hahaha. If you know me well enough you would know that I’m hardly the type to post personal comments or pictures across the world wide web but just for you Allee, I will do it!

I guess I’ll start with how this all came about. Personally I blame Allee, it was all her idea to begin with! And what's worst is that she made me part responsible for this blog by giving me full access, goddamnit!! Haha. Actually, from another perspective this blog serves a really good purpose as a channel for communication between friends in NZ and Allee who’s just across the ditch. (See Allee, even though you’re across the ocean you’ll always be connected to our lives in NZ :)).

Our intention is for everyone to use this blog to post messages and updates. Instead of circulating email forwards and bombarding each other’s in boxes, we can vandalise this blog instead! Let this be a place where you can share your success, a place to let out your anger or lame jokes, or you could simply say “hi” from time to time just to let us know you’re still alive (CUNG!!). Whatever it is that may tickles your fancy, it would be good to hear about all it. Feel free to take the centre stage and post whatever your heart desires – the sky is the limit!

That’s all from me for now. Let’s get “blogging” haha.
